On March 21st, the National Medical Device Sampling Inspection Work Promotion Conference was held in Wuxi. The meeting systematically summarized the effectiveness of the medical device sampling inspection work in 2023, conducted an in-depth analysis of the current situation, researched the key tasks for promoting the sampling inspection work in 2024, and organized training and experience exchange sessions for sampling inspection.
The meeting pointed out that the construction of the current medical device sampling inspection system has been basically completed, and the efficiency of the sampling inspection work has been significantly improved. At all levels of drug supervision and management departments and medical device inspection institutions, in accordance with the unified deployment of the National Medical Products Administration, they have adhered to the work train of "political consciousness, strong supervision, safety assurance, promoting development, and benefiting the people." They have played an important role in discovering and eliminating hidden risks, continuously improving the quality of medical devices, and ensuring the safety of public equipment.
The meeting required that drug supervision departments at all levels should further coordinate regulatory resources, promote the integration of supervision and inspection, continuously improve the sampling inspection mechanism, establish a coordinated and efficient sampling inspection system, intensify the verification and disposal of problematic products, actively promote the implementation of the main responsibilities of registrants and filers, and ensure the safety of product quality.
Representatives from the Medical Device Supervision Department of the National Medical Products Administration, the China National Medical Products Administration Testing Institute, provincial-level drug supervision departments, and medical device inspection institutions attended the meeting.
